Profile & branding
Upload your logo, pick your brand color and customize email templates.
Overview
Your profile drives the visual identity of everything your client sees: the portal, PDFs, and emails. Set it up once and every touchpoint reflects your brand automatically.
Go to Dashboard → Profile to manage all settings.
Business details
These appear on your profile and invoices:
| Field | Used in |
|---|---|
| Full name / Company name | Profile and invoices |
| Address | Profile, invoices and quotes |
| Website | Profile and invoices |
| Reply-to on automated emails | |
| Phone | Profile and invoices (optional) |
| Bio / Presentation | Profile description |
Logo
Upload a PNG, JPG or SVG logo from Profile → Branding. Recommended dimensions: at least 200×200px, square or landscape format.
Your logo appears in:
- The client portal header
- Invoice and quote PDFs
- Email templates (Professional and Modern)
Tip
Use a version of your logo with a transparent background (PNG) for the best result across light and dark portal themes.
Brand color
Pick a hex color in Profile → Branding. This color is used as the accent in:
- Client portal buttons and highlights
- Invoice and quote PDF accents
- Email template header and CTA buttons
Bank details (RIB / IBAN)
Add your bank details in Profile → Bank details to have them appear automatically on every invoice PDF.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Account holder | Your name or company name as it appears on the account |
| IBAN | International bank account number |
| BIC / SWIFT | Bank identifier code |
| Bank name | Optional, for clarity |
Once saved, a dedicated Bank details section is printed at the bottom of every invoice PDF — useful for clients who pay by bank transfer.
Tip
If most of your clients pay by transfer, adding your IBAN to your profile removes the need to include it manually in invoice notes every time.
Warning
Never share your full bank details through the client portal chat or comments. The invoice PDF is the appropriate place — it is only accessible to clients with the direct invoice link.
Email signature
Write a short closing line (1–3 sentences) in Profile → Email signature. It appears at the bottom of every automated email Cliento sends on your behalf.
Example:
Thanks for working with us. — Abdoullah, Webpixelia
Email templates Solo / Pro
Choose your visual email style from Profile → Email templates:
- Minimal — plain-text aesthetic, maximum deliverability
- Professional — structured with logo and brand color
- Modern — card-based with strong visual hierarchy
The template applies to all outgoing emails: reminders, notifications and invoice delivery.
Payment methods
Configure your payment providers in Profile → Payments:
- Stripe Connect — click "Connect with Stripe" and complete onboarding
- PayPal — paste your PayPal.me link
See Payments → for detailed setup instructions.
Public address
Use a branded Cliento subdomain for client links, without DNS setup.
Subdomain
john-doe
Client links will use your workspace subdomain:
https://john-doe.clients.cliento.dev/client/:token
Note
No DNS configuration is required. Your public address is available as soon as a subdomain is configured.
Dark mode
Cliento supports dark mode across the entire dashboard and client portal. Toggle it from the top-right menu → Appearance, or let it follow your system preference automatically.
Dark mode applies to:
- Your freelance dashboard
- The client portal (your clients see it too if their device is set to dark)
- All modal dialogs and notification panels
Tip
Your brand color and logo are used in dark mode too. If your logo has a white background, consider uploading a transparent PNG version so it looks clean on dark backgrounds.
Two-factor authentication
Add an extra layer of security to your account from Profile → Two-factor authentication.
Setup
Enable 2FA
Click Enable two-factor authentication. A QR code is generated and stored securely.
Scan the QR code
Open your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password…) and scan the QR code.
Confirm with a code
Enter the 6-digit code shown in your app to confirm the setup.
Once enabled, every login requires your password and a code from your authenticator app.
Backup codes
After enabling 2FA, Cliento generates 10 single-use backup codes. Save them somewhere safe — they let you log in if you lose access to your authenticator app.
Warning
Backup codes are shown only once and cannot be retrieved afterward. Store them in a password manager or a secure offline location.
Disabling 2FA
Click Disable two-factor authentication and confirm your password. 2FA is removed immediately.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account from the profile page under the danger zone.
Warning
Deleting your account permanently removes all projects, clients, invoices and quotes. This action cannot be undone.
Changing your password
You can change your password from the profile page. Enter your current password and your new password, then confirm the new password to update it.
